Handbuilt is one person
A full-stack and mobile developer who would rather build fewer things properly than many things quickly.
I spent years building products inside other people's teams — web apps, mobile apps, the unglamorous middle of the stack. Handbuilt is what happens when you take that and point it at businesses small enough that the person paying is also the person who has to live with the result.
The work on this site is a set of concepts — real sites and apps I designed and built to show what a dental practice, a gym, or a restaurant actually gets. None of them are paid client projects yet. That's the honest version, and it's the version I'd want to read.
If you have something that needs building and you'd rather deal with one person than an agency, that's the whole pitch.
Principles
- Ship the small version first. You can always add; it's harder to remove.
- No stock photos. Real rooms, real screens, or nothing.
- The client should be able to change a price without emailing me.
- Fast is a feature. If it's slow, it's not done.
- One set of hands, start to finish — design, build, deploy.
Built by hand with Next.js and too much coffee. Type is Fraunces, Newsreader and JetBrains Mono. No trackers, no cookie banner, no build-a-website builder.
